As Christians, we are to seek guidance in our personal lives from the Holy Spirit.

"Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come." - John 16:13

 

The Holy Spirit has been given to us as a counselor and a guide. He takes the ways, thoughts and will of God and reveals them to us.

The Holy Spirit is that still, small voice of God that will lead you in your everyday decisions. He wants to impart the wisdom and discernment of God into our personal lives. No matter how big or how small, God wants to be involved in every decision we make.

"The steps of a [good and righteous] man are directed and established by the Lord, and He delights in his way [and blesses his path]." - Psalms 37:23

​

"God's Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path." Psalms 119:105

​

God also directs and guides us through His written word. Our thoughts are not His thoughts, our ways are not His ways, and we must know them to walk the right path.

​

During this time of fasting, let us seek God's guidance for our personal lives. May we be keenly aware of his direction, advice, and course of action for each of us.

​

Father God, I pray that I will hear your voice clearly, apply your word fully and that you will lead me in everything. I pray that I would not take a step without you but that you would guide me in every aspect of my life. Amen.
